A Fun Post to Start off the Weekend……
I love this photo – a friend sent it to me. (Thank you Alicia!) It’s just a really cute pregnant belly photo that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
So, my advice for the weekend; don’t forget to take some photos while pregnant!
You are probably thinking, “Coley, photos?? I look like Shamoo the Whale!” Give me a break girls, pregnant bellies are beautiful!
Ok, so I readily admit that I didn’t take very many photos while pregnant with either of my children. But you know what? I wish I had! I wish I had the photos we see on some websites and in some scrapbooks of the ever expanding belly going from small to plump to large to about to pop! Regardless of if you are making an adoption plan or plan to raise your baby, you can keep these photos and show them to your child one day. My son Noah, who is almost ten, finds it funny that he once was a small baby inside my belly!
Take some photos of your belly at different intervals through out the pregnancy, from the side is the best shot! Take some photos of your maternity wardrobe. Some of those pregnancy outfits can be funny to remember.
Depending on how much time you have and energy you want to put forth you could make a pregnancy scrapbook. If you are making an adoption plan, this could be a positive way to remember your pregnancy and if you parent, you have something neat to show your child. I love some of the ideas at this
link. It recommends:
- Journaling in your pregnancy scrapbook
- Taking photos in different intervals through out your pregnancy
- Ideas for Page Layouts
- Song Lyrics that may be meaningful
- Calendar pages that you jot down things through out the pregnancy – like when you felt the first kick
I know your pregnancy is unplanned and might not be the happiest time of your life, but why not have a little fun with it and make the most of it when you can!
