Starting each Wednesday in this New Year, I will feature a different web link. By “web link” I mean that it can be an article, a website, a blog, or just basically anything on the World Wide Web related to adoption or pregnancy.

Some of the web links I feature may solely be adoption related while others may be more pregnancy related, but either way as an expectant mother considering adoption, I hope these links will be helpful to you during your pregnancy and as you try to make a decision regarding adoption. If you know of a web link related to adoption or pregnancy that you think is worth sharing, please email me at crisispregnancyblog2@adoptionmail.com
Without further a due, I bring you the first Web link Wednesday…
I think it’s only fitting that this first web link should be from
www.adoption.com. There is a wealth of information on this website, so much at times it can be overwhelming as you might not know where to go, so let me point you in the direction of some areas that might be of interest to those pregnant and considering adoption.
Crisis Pregnancy Area – Once again, a ton of information in this area for you! Just to highlight some of the information:
- Due Date Calculator
- Open Adoption area
Pre-Placement Information: Includes information on choosing a family, making the decision to place, etc.
- Preparing for Placement: Information on your rights, preparing for hospital, saying goodbye to your baby, questions to ask, etc…
- Expectant Fathers area: Includes information on termination of father’s rights, putative father registries, etc.
- Crisis Pregnancy Support: Includes links to articles, poems, books, stories, etc. all related to adoption
Forums that might be of interest to you:
Other areas that might be helpful to you:
- Adoption Glossary: Gives you terms and definitions on just about every word related to adoption that you can think of!
- Adoption Laws: Provides information on some of the laws pertaining to adoption.
Like I said before, an overwhelming amount of information but the majority of it can be pretty helpful; you just have to wade through it to find what you are looking for. Hopefully these “hot spots” I have pointed out will help you!
