My son’s Sunday School newsletter inspired this post. In it, was a 101 ways to praise a child and reading it I thought that we all need praise and positive affirmations. When you are in an unplanned pregnancy, you are typically feeling down and may feel like life is working against you. It’s very easy to emotionally beat yourself up right now and tell yourself that you are dumb, make poor decisions, have made too many mistakes, etc..
But don’t forget you have good qualities too! You care about your baby and want the best for him or her – you are a loving and kind person.
Below is a list of positive affirmations. Choose one and write it on a post it note or even more fun – in lipstick – on your mirror and read it each morning and each time you are in your bathroom and really let yourself begin to believe it.
- I’m special.
- I’m fantastic.
- I’m beautiful.
- This is a new and wonderful day for me.
- I can go the extra mile.
- I am worthy of love and being loved.
- I am creative.
- I am loving.
- I deserve good things in my life.
- I am patient.
- I am blessed.
- I am grateful for what I do have.
- I am in charge of my life and responsible for the directions I travel.
- I have faith in myself.
- I am strong.
- And last but not least is my favorite one. (This one is for Jamie and the girls)
We are gorgeous selfless, loving, and powerful women!
I don't know you, but I know you have good qualities in you. Celebrate the good on you and focus on it for a few minutes each day!
