Maternity clothes have come along way since the decades of frumpy, ugly maternity clothes. Nowadays, maternity clothes are trendy and stylish and make a statement.
But they can be expensive and if you are already worrying about financial issues, spending much money on maternity clothes is not an option. But there are other options to keep you dressed at minimal costs to you.
- Free Cycle ~ The Free Cycle Network is a community based group of people who are giving and receiving items they no longer use. You can give away items and also receive items for free via Free Cycle, usually you just have to go meet the person and pick up the items. Go to the website and see if there is an email based Free Cycle group near you.
- Ebay ~ Ebay is also a great option for maternity clothes. People sell maternity clothes in lots or bundles and if you watch carefully you can sometimes grab them up for practically nothing. You do have to pay shipping costs though.
- Crisis Pregnancy Centers ~ Some crisis pregnancy centers have maternity clothing closets of clothes that have been donated to them that you could wear during your pregnancy.
- Also, check with friends, family, and church members. Ask them if anyone they know has recently been pregnant.
Most women are more than happy to share maternity clothes they are no longer using, My friends and I have a box of maternity clothes that we have been passing around for years now and who ever is pregnant at the time wears them, puts any new clothes into the box and then passes the box to the next mother to be. Needless to say, the clothes no longer just fit in one box!
Maternity Clothes may seem like a challenge, but you can find some at little or no costs to you!
