I thought this was an interesting news story that aired on the news tonight. 
A 21 year old young woman in Palm Beach, Florida, in an unplanned pregnancy was driving herself to the hospital after contractions started at home. She had not told her family that she was pregnant, afraid of their reactions, which is why she was driving herself to the hospital instead of being driven.
As a strong contraction came on, she lost control of the car and wrecked into a canal. She ended up giving birth in the wrecked car. A policeman drove by and noticed the wrecked car. He investigated and found the lady. She asked him to check on the baby and he opened the door expecting to find a baby in a car seat, not a wrinkly newborn, umbilical cord still attached.
This unplanned pregnancy story has a happy ending….
Once her family was notified they came to the hospital and rallied around her and the baby, now named Myracle. Her dad was quoted as saying, “We are welcoming this baby with open arms.”
Both Momma and her miracle are doing well. Mom has a broken leg but otherwise both surprised unscathed.
I am sorry she had a wreck and a broken leg and had to deliver the baby by herself. I am so glad that her and the baby are ok. Myracle is such a fitting name for the baby. I am so glad her family is happy about the baby.
