Ok, you know me, I occasionally have to bring you those over the top, crazy fun things to do in pregnancy that I

never did while I was pregnant. Remember my motto, even though it’s not under the best of circumstances, make the most of your pregnancy because you never know if it will be your last!
So in all your decorating and fun, why not decorate YOU! Yes, that’s right, you heard me correctly, decorate you! Decorate that big, beautiful belly. Oh I wish I had done this!!
To belly paint you can either make your own belly paint or buy face paint kits.
Here is how you can make your own belly paint!
For each color, you will need:
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon cold cream
- Food coloring
Mix all of the above ingredients in a small bowl, egg cup or in a muffin pan. (Use a different container for each color.)
You will probably need a friend to help you with the painting!
Here are a few ideas of scenes/items you (and your friend) can paint on your belly for the Christmas and winter holiday seasons:
- Try painting a few snowflakes in shades of white.
- Try painting a snow globe on to your belly.
Using red and white stripes turn your belly into a yummy round looking piece of peppermint candy.
- Paint your belly white and then paint on a carrot nose, coal eyes, and mouth and you are sporting Frosty the Snowman on your bump!
- Using green, paint greenery in a circle shape on your belly for a wreath. Add a big (painted of course) red bow at the top. For more fun, draw a baby face peaking out of the wreath.
- Paint the Jolly fat man’s face right on your belly! (Ok, I wouldn’t do this one but hey someone out there might like it.)
The snowman is my fave!
Now don’t forget to capture these moments on film!! Why not take a picture, run it to the one hour, and frame it as a gift for people who have been supportive of your pregnancy! Happy painting!
