I’ve been blogging here in the crisis pregnancy blog for one whole year! It really doesn’t seem like a year, but I guess time really does fly when you are having fun! (Ok, so it hasn’t been ALL fun and games!)
I must confess that when I took this “gig” blogging, I’d never really blogged before. I’d kept a short family type blog that was more of a “what we did today” type thing on
Noah’s website but I hadn’t really done anything where I wrote daily on a particular topic.
My friend and former co-blogger in the open adoption blog, Genevieve, was the person who told me about
AdoptionBlogs. I’d never come across them before until Genevieve told me she was writing for them. I was intrigued as I loved reading blogs (it’s like reality TV but on the computer!) Shortly after that, Genevieve informed me that they were looking for a crisis pregnancy blogger and who I should email (Nancy, acting editor at the time) if I was interested.
I was and still am very passionate about crisis pregnancy and adoption. I loved (and still love to) to write so writing for a crisis pregnancy blog seemed like a natural fit for me. I emailed Nancy, sent her the things she required of me, answered some questions from her, etc. and waited for word. Shortly after, she let me know I had the blogging position and I excitedly (and a bit nervously) wrote my first post of very many.
I’m very lucky and blessed to be able to do something I love, writing and sharing my passion with others. I have many faithful readers and I appreciate your reading, loyalty, comments, and encouragement.
So, one year and a gazillion words later, here I am! Happy Blogging Birthday to me!
