30 Things About Me

Today is my 30th birthday! WOW! I didn’t feel like writing a long adoption post today, so I thought it’s my day so I will share some things with you that you might not know about me and help you get to know me a little better!

1. I was born and raised for the first twelve years of my life in Madison, Mississippi. I am a southern girl at heart.
2. I have one brother. He’s younger than me.
3. I bleed maroon and white. Go MSU Bulldogs!
4. I had a stay at home mom who made awesome birthday cakes.


5. My Dad and I got into family genealogy and spent many Sunday afternoons going through microfilms at the library.
6. I was on Romper Room when I was 4.
7. I sang at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
8. My favorite color is pink.
9. My favorite singer ever is Bette Midler and I’ve seen her in concert.
10. I got married on a minor league baseball field right before a game with 2300 people watching.
11. I got to throw out the first pitch at that game. So awesome!
12. My adoption story was featured in the May 2006 issue of All You Magazine and I made my hubby go with me to WalMart at two in the morning to buy 10 copies!
13. My favorite move is Erin Brokovich.
14. My son communicates with sign language.
15. I love staying up all night and doing crafts with my best friend when we have weekend get-togethers.
16. I’ve been known to unwrap Christmas presents to see what they are and then re-wrap them.
17. My birthday is also Mexican Independence Day.
18. My first name is Nicole. Only my friends call me Coley and I think my parents hate it.
19. I like my middle name – it’s Bethany.
20. I have a child named after me. My little namesake is named Nicholas.
21. I love to karaoke and usually sing country songs.
22. I love sushi.
23. I take the toppings and cheese off my pizza and eat the crust first and save the cheese and toppings for last.
24. I collect purses and am addicted to buying new ones.
25. I had a dog growing up named Pepper.
26. I love taking pictures and digital scrapbooking.
27. I love musicals. My favorites are Annie and West Side Story.
28. I am a reality TV Junkie.
29. I hate movies and any talk about aliens. Yuck!
30. I love the Food Network and am a big Rachael Ray fan and think 30 minute meals are a busy mom’s best friend.
