Numbers of Unplanned Pregnancies

I ran across some interesting statistics on the number of unplanned pregnancies in the United States. The good news is that the number of teen pregnancies are down. According to Bill Albert, the director of the National Campaign to prevent teen pregnancy the rate of unplanned pregnancies fell 36 percent, which is the lowest it has been in a long time.

While the number of teen pregnancies in on the decline, the number of unplanned pregnancies among young women is not. The definition of unplanned (they used unwanted but I don’t like that description) pregnancies... more

I’ve heard teen pregnancy considered an “epidemic” before. According to trends, reports, and statistics more and more teens are becoming sexually active which leads to more teens becoming pregnant. It’s a good possibility that if you are in an unplanned pregnancy and reading this blog, you could be a teenager. I though it would be interesting to explore teen teen pregpregnancy and talk with a teen that parented as a teenager as well as a teen that has placed a child for adoption. Statistics on number of relinquishments

Though millions of Americans are touched by adoption in some way, the number of new birthmothers continues to decline each year. So, if you decide to place your baby for adoption this year, what size group will you be a part of?
