I found today’s Dr. Phil show very interesting as it pertained to Putative Father Registries. On the show, we were introduced to Bryce, a man from Oregon in his mid 30’s. He is now fighting for his baby girl, who is about five months old and living with the people who want to adopt her. The adoption is not final yet as Bryce is fighting for custody of this little girl.
Bryce’s ex-girlfriend, Esther, had gotten pregnant and wanted to place the baby for adoption. He repeatedly told her no, that he wanted to raise their baby.... more

As college students head back to campuses for the new school year, they will be dealing with an added expense; the steep rise in the cost of birth control. Before the law went into effect, drug companies who manufactured birth control were able to offer college health centers and pharmacies substantial discounts on birth control but this new law makes it too expensive for drug companies to continue offering... more
I ran across an article out of Knoxville, Tennessee about a new program for women in unplanned pregnancies. This one is called House of Courage.
House of Courage was created by Bonnie Skolfield who had her own unplanned pregnancy at age 15. Luckily, Bonnie had the support of her family and her church to aide her in raising her child but she knows that not all women in unplanned pregnancies are that lucky. Bonnie’s church helped her to find a job and ironically it was at a crisis pregnancy... more
