Happy Halloween to all of you out there!
I thought, in light of Halloween, we’d not talk about a heavy subject and talk about something fun… Halloween! 
Are you dressing up as anything this year? I haven’t dressed up as much as an adult as I did as a child of course, but there have been a few years I have donned a costume for parties and what not. I think my favorite costume as a child was a strawberry and as an adult Little Red Riding Hood. We used to dress up at work some years.

It’s that time of the year. Not only are the leaves changing colors, the air getting crisper and cooler, but the amount of daylight we have each day is decreasing. During this time of the year, as the hours of daylight gets shorter, you may notice that you begin to feel a little depressed. Finally!! My favorite season is here. Autumn is in the air! Can you feel it in your neck of the woods yet? It’s just beginning to feel like autumn here in the south, where I live. 
I just love this time of year – it’s full of change. Life changes from the lazy days of summer to the hustle and bustle of back to school. The air changes and has a crispness and cleanliness that it didn’t have before. The days and time change from daylight savings time to standard time and the days seem shorter. What does that day mean to many of us? Technically, Independence Day is the birthday of the United States of America as an independent and free nation. The celebration began during the American Revolution and has continued on to be a very important American Holiday.

We are lucky here in America that we have the independence and freedom to make our own decisions. We have the choice of whether we want to parent our children or place them for adoption.
